Notes
The right leaf is taken from a Qur’an copied on parchment paper. It is written in black Kufic script in thick letters. The vowels are indicated with red dots according to the grammar style of Abu Al-Aswad. Other diacritical points for the letters were used as diacritic vowels. The division between verses is indicated by an ornament in the form of a large, gilded and maroon-colored rose. It is made up of six petals surrounding a circle, and connected to each other by six quarter circles of the same color. Maroon. The left leaf is decorated with an ornament whose frame consists of a rectangular band, which includes a serpentine twig decoration. Several circles with gold and maroon surrounds intertwine, forming a geometric decoration consisting of three rows of strands, of which the four-lobed flower is the dominant decorative element. Meanwhile, the surrounding surfaces were dyed green. On the left margin, he drew a wreath consisting of a circle surrounded by green and gilded dots, containing seven simplified and gilded leaves inside it, on a white background, dotted with black and green dots.
