Notes A rectangular piece of tile made of quartz paste (frit) was originally part of a frame surrounding a large tile panel, composed of an interlocking white and red arabesque design. The defining lines of the design are executed in black, with emphasis on the internal curves of the arabesque and on the red details. The entire design was placed on a bright turquoise background.
