Notes The Armenian red label was introduced to the Iznik workshops around 1560 and was used on this jug as a striking artistic element. The tiger-shaped label is of a special style that, along with three other spots, includes the classic Chintamani pattern and runs throughout the body of the jug like surrealist labels. This model is found in collections of Turkish fabrics and tiles.
