Notes
The elements of the range consist of a central rosette, eight bands, and two decorative elements at the top of the column, which are decorated with domes and granular designs. Many features are similar to Iranian pieces, including case-making and the fine roughening that covers most of the domes. An earlier date is assumed for this piece due to the apparent absence of openwork decorative elements used in Fatimid jewelry. Similar belt elements were found in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon in Mamluk hoards and other later jewelry.
