| Notes |
Within the walls of the small church located behind the cathedral, we find some remains of column bases located behind the entrance and the altar, which support the roof of an extended building. The Aghlabids used that space (a mosque, length: 18 m and width: 3.8 m), and they built it on the ruins of a Byzantine church, and they called it the Great Mosque in (the third / ninth century). |
