Notes This beautifully gilded page originally formed the right half of a double page for the first section of Part 26 of the Qur’an. Its owner is unknown, but the calligrapher Ahmed Ibn al-Suhrawardi is a famous student of the master calligrapher Yaqut Ibn Aybak, who collaborated with the calligrapher in writing many notable Qur’ans. From the remaining parts of this manuscript, it appears that the one who edited it used the form of a different geometric system for the introduction of each volume/part.
