Notes
This animal is a female deer or deer, which in the past used to decorate one of the pools or fountains of a palace in Spain during the Umayyad era. There is a piece very similar to this in the Cordoba Museum today, which was found among the ruins of the Palace of Happiness in Medina Al-Zahra, where the historian Al-Maqri mentions that the place contained a marble basin decorated with fountains in the shape of various animals. The decorations on the deer's body give the impression that it was covered with luxurious fabric with tassels.
