Notes
The face of a man of extreme age; Part of the head and the right part of the face were damaged. This character has a mustache and a very thick beard that ends with circular holes in the shape of shells. A symbol of the pupil of the eye using an oval piece of glass with an iridescent color, as if this piece extends its roots in a very distant African past, and is reminiscent in its style of the many tombstones presented in particular to Saturn. We will maintain the following common points: the law of the forehead, the beard, and the importance given to the eyes. However, this statue presents a definite similarity to the marble bas-relief representing the prince and the musician found in Mahdia. The face appears to be oriental, but the absence of any reference to clothing does not allow us to decide on this issue.
