Notes A large plate, circular in shape, with a round base, and a slightly sloping wall. Black outline decoration on a white background. It is covered with a layer of glass mixed with lead compounds, which gives it a wavy color of blue, violet, green, and red (lilac). There are still traces of gold decoration applied over the glazed layer in some spots. This dish bears a traditional decoration, which is a group of paper plants of lavender, lilac, and carnation roses. On the slanted inner wall we find a drawing representing “waves and rocks,” and on the outer wall we see small drawings of roses and flowers in dark blue and green, alternating and very wavy.
