Notes The two separate pages most likely come from Al-Jazouli's copy (Dala'il al-Khairat) (full title: Dala'il al-Khairat wa Shariq al-Anwar fi Dhikr al-Salat upon the Chosen Prophet). It is one of the popular works on prayers in the Islamic world and was composed by a resident of Souss, Abu Abdullah Muhammad Ibn Sulayman Ibn Abu Bakr al-Jazuli (died 1645). The work consists of prayers for the Prophet along with his titles and a description of his grave. To digress somewhat from the topic, the Ottoman and Indian copies almost always include pictures of the Holy Mosque in Mecca alongside the Mosque of Medina. The pictures in the Indian copies are often schematic in nature, unlike the more realistic three-dimensional Ottoman copies.
