Notes	Folios 113a and 123b bear the inscription: Endowment of Othman Effendi. Manuscript Title from first page, date from colophon. 13 lines per page, laid European paper (watermark : crown and grapes). Turkish hand, rubricated, single line rule-borders. Marginal glosses in Turkish and Arabic. Preceded by six leaves containing notes, quotations and seals, including Naṣīḥah muhimmah li-ṭālib al-'ilm (f.2b-3a, in Turkish), inscription (f.5a) : Yā kabīkaj Yāḥāfiẓ (followed by the seal of Solomon), waqfīyah. Followed by (ff. 122b-129a) al-amthalah al-mukhtalafah, arranged in the form of diagrams. Copied by Khalīl ibn Yūnis. This is no. 5 of a manuscript with six Risālahs bound together. It includes 129 folios in total. Incipit : I know that the fifth chapter of the Tasrif and the thirteenth chapter are the sixth of the three single Holding in McGill Library's Rare Books and Special Collections: Six titles bound together subsequent to production: no. 1 (ff. 1b-43a), 1135 [1722]. -- no. 2 (ff. 43b-82a), 1135 [1722]. -- no. 3 (ff. 83b-97a), 1135 [1722]. -- no. 4 (ff. 97b-111b), 1135 [1722]. -- no. 5 (ff. 112b-121b), 1135 [1722]. -- no. 6 (ff. 122b-129a), 1135 [1722].
