Notes Manuscript. Calligraphy, title devised by cataloger, black ink, Inscription from the Arabic language. It is the practice of kāra-lāmah which is Turkish for 'black writing'. 5 lines per sheet, vocalized, black ink, naskh script. It is a practice sheet where the calligrapher would practice her/his penmanship to perfect it but also to try different nibs of his qalam, or reed pen. Calligrapher's name from the right side of the sheet.
