The incident took place in March of 1602, when the Emperor promoted the Mirza and his son, and accepted his daughter as a bride for Jahangir's son Khusrau. Holding the flywhisk, Prince Khusrau stands under the pavilion accompanying his younger brother Prince Khurram, the future Shah Jahan.
