Short photo of a manuscript, content: "Muʿammīyāt" d.i. Letter puzzle by Ḥusain Ibn-Muḥammad al-Ḥusainī (d. 904 [h.q.] [1498 or 1499]), a contemporary of Amīr ʿAlī Šīr, at whose request he published his puzzle book. With marginal notes. Fol. 54b contains a taliman, a secret alphabet and a recipe for preparing ink. On the inside of the back cover is a conversation between Mollā Ḥilālī and Mollā Nargis in a meeting at Sulṭān Ḥusayn Bāyqarā., Defect: According to fol. 41 there appears to be a defect, Features: Different paper and a different hand begins with fol. 42, Dated manuscript: The copy of the latter part was completed in the month Ḏū l-Ḥiǧǧa 1068 [h.q.] [August 1840]. The endpaper reads: '7 Août 1840, font: Nastaʿlīq, old signature: Quatremère 249, BSB provenance: Étienne Quatremère (1782-1857)
