Individual text of a collective manuscript, short copy of a manuscript, content: Excerpt/hulâsa from the Humāyūn-nāme of Alî b. Sâlih, called Vâsi Alîsi (d. 950/beg. April 6, 1543), the "most famous Turkish version of the Kalīla wa Dimna stories". The text has been significantly shortened compared to the original and has been freed from all pompous, difficult-to-understand expressions and constructions. - The work is Sultan Ahmed III. dedicated (see the praise casside on pp. 2b–3a). - The stories are arranged according to the fourteen pieces of advice/vasîyet (pages 4a–5a) in 14 chapters (pages 5a–38b).
