Notes Short copy of a manuscript, content: History of Šāh Ṣafī (Sām Mīrzā), the son of Šāh ʿAbbās the Great, from his accession to the throne on 24 Ḏū l-Ḥiǧǧa 1037 [h.q.] (1627) to the accession to the throne of Šāh ʿAbbās II on 16 Ṣafar 1052 [h.q.] (1642), written by Muḥammad Maʿṣūm Ibn-Hwāgāʾi Iṣfahānī. This is what the author calls himself in the preface, fol. 3b 1.3. The "Tārīḫ-i ʿAbbāsī" by Iskender Beġ is mentioned in the preface. At the end there is news about the author in Fol. 173b and a description of Ganǧa in Fol. 177. On Fol l'Ere Mahometane et de nostre stile l'an 1632'. Important manuscript because there is so much lack of native sources for this period of Persian history, with the exception of a few general histories such as "Zubdat at-tawārīḫ". The same historical work is attributed in the catalog of the Petersburg Bibl. by Dorn p. 291 to Iskender Munšī, who is said to have written it as a continuation of the "Tārīḫ-i ʿālem ārāi ʿabbāsī". The title should be "Ḫulāṣat as-sīyar", 'comme nous l'apprend un passage de la conclusion', script: Nastaʿlīq, equipment: written on smoothed oriental paper by Muḥammad Ṣāliḥ Ḫātūnābādī, old signature: Quatremère 136, BSB provenance: Étienne Quatremère (1782-1857)
