Short copy of a manuscript, content: General history from the oldest times to 658 [h.q.] [1259 or 1260] by Minhāǧ Ibn-Sirāǧ Al-Ǧūzǧānī, completed in the same year. In other places it says "al-Ǧūzǧānī", in context it is usually Minhāǧ Ibn-Sirāǧ al-Ǧūzǧānī. The content of the work is given in full in Morley p. 21ff, and is divided into 23 Ṭabaqāt: 1) History of the Prophets and Muḥammed, 2-4) History of the Ḫalīfen, 5) Persia to Yazdegerd, 6) History of Yemen on Fol. 101, 7-22) which with the ʿAbbāsidenḫalīfen simultaneous dynasties in Persia and India, i.e. 7) Ṭāhīrid fol. 111b, 8) Ṣaffārid fol. 115, 9) Sāmānid fol. 117b, 10) Daylamid fol. 127, 11) Sabuktigīnid fol. 131, 12) Selǧūqen fol. 142 with a section on the Seljuks of Rūm Fol. 153b, 13) Sanǧariyya (Atābeken) Fol. 157: a) of ʿIrāq and Azerbaijan, b) Fars, c) Nīsabūr, 14) Nīmrūz and Sedīǧistān, 15) Kings of the Kurds, Ayyūbids Fol. 168b, 16) Ḫārizm kings Fol. 176b, 17) Šansabānīah and Ġūrid kings Fol. 188b, 18) Šansabānīah in Ġaznī, 20) Moizziah kings in India Fol. 243b, 21) Šamsiyya Kings, Fol. 255 Altamsh Šam-ad-Dīn and his son Nāṣir-ad-Dīn Maḥmūd, 22) Šamsiyya Kings Fol. 286, 23) the unbelievers. Qara-Ḫitai. Genghis Ḫān and his descendants until 658 [h.q.] [1259 or 1260]. The story of the first 16 Ṭabaqāt is very brief, starting from Ṭabaqah 17 it is more detailed and valuable. The work is written under Nāṣir ad-Dīn Maḥmūd Ibn-Altamsh, whose life is described in the 21st Ṭabaqah; FOl. In 274 a Qaṣīda stands in his praise. The work is dedicated to the same, but the name in the dedication is incorrectly Abu-ʿl-Muẓaffar Muḥammed Šāh Ibn-as-Sulṭān Altamsh.
