Short recording of a manuscript, content: A geographical work, without preface. First we talk about creation, then on folio 5 about the wonders of the inhabited earth. Then from the seas (fol. 17), lakes (fol. 24b), rivers (27b), springs (31b), wells (33b), islands (35b), mountains (39b) and deserts (46b); about determining distance (fol. 49); about the 4 parts of the earth and the inhabited quarter (fol. 50). This is followed by a "muqaddima" (fol. 50b) and the seven climates on fol. 51-80, then on fol. 80 the places outside the climates and their oddities, fol. 81b "Ḫitā", fol. 99 "Bīǧānagar", fol. 104 the wonders of the West; from Fol. 106 to a description of the capital Herāt. Leaves 19 and 20, which contain the description of Mecca and Medina, are connected and belong to the second climate after fol. 52. The sixth climate on fol. 69 contains a biography of Avicenna in Fārāb. Neither a title nor an author is mentioned. From a passage on Fol. 117b, where the praise of Mīr ʿAlī-Šīr (d. 906 [h.q.] [1501]) is expressed, it follows that the work was completed during Mīr ʿAlī-Šīr's lifetime. The source works cited by the author are "Kitāb-i bidāyat wa-nihāyat" by ʿImād-ad-Dīn Ibn-Kaṯīr (d. 774 [h.q.] [1373)], "ʿAǧāʾib al-maḫlūqāt" by Zakariyyā al-Qazwīnī (d. 682 [h.q.] [1283]) and parts of the "Taʾrīḫ" of Kamāl ad-Dīn ʿAbd ar-Rāziq (d. 887 [h.q.] [1482 or 1483]) and others. This geography sometimes forms the appendix to the historical work of Mīrḫwānd. Transcript of Muḥammad Ḥusain Ibn-Ḥasan al-Ḥāfiẓ aṭ-Ṭabasī.
