Notes Short photo of a manuscript, script: Old, fully vocalized Neshî, BSB provenance: Purchased from Josef Kohen, Cairo, Chan Khalîlî, for 127 PE. Jan. 5, 1914. E. Gratzl - owner notes from es-Seyyid Tevfîk Mustafâ b. Mehmed Halîm, grandson of Hâci Ibrâhîm, divan scribe, features: black gold edge and double red center strips. Primitive, rectangular Unvan with the title in completely faded gold ink: Kitâb Siyer en-nebî ṣ l m. - Two columns. - Custodians. They were added later by a clumsy hand, as was the pagination, and are often missing, e.g. T. lost due to the cut. - Strong, ivory-colored, darkened, smoothed paper, heavily worn in places, with water and foxing spots. The sheets are often in a primitive form, especially a. d. R. glued. - The manuscript was later restored, see note on the inside of the back cover. The text is blurred or slightly rubbed in some places. Cover: Old, slightly cracked, black leather cover with flat and blind pressed medallion and flap. The binding has been completely restored. The original black leather cover is glued to dark brown, strong leather. The same applies to the back flap, content: poetry in Mesnevi form about the life and work of the prophet. It was born on Friday, 1 Rebiʿ II 872/30. Completed Oct. 1467. - Text incomplete and therefore much more incomplete than the Berlin manuscript No. 277 in Anna Sohrweide: Turkish manuscripts. Wiesbaden 1974 (Directory of Oriental Manuscripts in Germany, Vol. XIII, 3). - - 1st endpaper a: Seal from a previous owner. - 2nd endpaper b: Fihrist, by a later hand (Rikʿa). - Bl. 331a: Chronogram of a death in Şaʿbân 1020/Oct. 1611 and the birth of a son named Salih Mehmed in the early hours of Wednesday, 4th Zî 'l-kaʿde 1008/17. May 1600. - Sheet 331b: verse captions and a poem
