Short photo of a manuscript, content: Arabic-Persian dictionary by Muḥammad Ibn-ʿAbd-al-Ḫāliq Ibn-Maʿrūf. He dedicated his work to Sulṭān Muḥammad Ibn-Kiyā of Gīlān (in the 9th century [h.q.] [1448–1478]). The words are ordered by the first, then by the last radical; Each chapter is preceded by the “Nomina actionis,” followed by the other words. The Arabic words are written in red and vocalized, as are the chapter headings, which are written in large font. Newer copy, script: Taʿlīq, features: the first page is ornamented, old signature: Quatremère 76, BSB provenance: Étienne Quatremère (1782-1857)
