Short copy of a manuscript, content: History of Sulṭān Akbar, written by his minister Abu-'l-Faḍl Ibn-Mubārak, who was murdered in 1011 [h.q.] [1602]. 2 volumes in 2 parts; all in one folio volume. - Volume I, Part 1 Fol. 1b-155: History of Akbar's ancestors up to his accession to the throne. - Volume I, Part 2 Fol. 156b-302: History of Akbar from his accession to the throne (in Rebīʿ 963 [h.q.] [October 1542]) to the end of the 12th year of his reign. According to the signature here, the copy of this part was completed on the 10th of Šawwāl 1107 [h.q.] [13. May 1696]. - Volume II, Part 1 Fol. 303b-447, Part 2 Fol. 449b-655: Continuation of the history of Akbar from the 13th year of his reign to the 47th year of his reign. The copy of these two parts is dated 5. Ḏū l-Ḥiǧǧa 1107 [h.q.] [6. July 1696] and from 19 Muḥarram 1108 [h.q.] [18. August 1696], Incomplete: The third volume of the Akbarnāma, which has the special title "Āʾīn-i Akbarī" and contains a geography and statistics of the Mongol Empire in India under Akbar, is not included.
