Short shot of a manuscript, content: "Šāhnāma", with the preface of the Baïsonqor, which includes the first 5 leaves, but has no beginning or end, content: Incomplete: From the front only 1 leaf (1 page of text) appears to be missing, as the first existing page is ornamented in the way that the first two pages of Persian manuscripts often are. The first page of the preface is heavily rubbed and the five leaves are damaged in several places. The text itself begins on f. 6 with the 10th verse [...]. This page is richly ornamented and suggests that the page opposite it, which was decorated in the same way and contained the first 9 verses, had been omitted. The manuscript does not quite cover the first half of the entire work, it goes up to the verse = Tom. IV, 266 1.15 of the edition by Mohl, script: Ta'lîq, equipment: written in 4 columns. On cotton paper, with 36 paintings ranging in size from half to a full folio page. The first existing page is ornamented in the way that the first two pages of Persian manuscripts often are. Between the individual lines there are jagged gold lines that rise and fall. The text itself begins with the 10th verse on Fol. 92 a, old signature: Cod.or. 295 Prunneri
