Short recording of a manuscript, content: History of Tīmūr from his birth in 736 [h.q.] [1336] to his death in 807 [h.q.] [1405] by Šaraf-ad-Dīn ʿAlī Yazdī (d. 850 [h.q.] [1454]). Well written, all by the same hand, undated. The manuscript was already written in the year 878 [h.q.] [1473], under which date an owner wrote his name on the last sheet. The manuscript is interspersed with writing paper, the first 130 pages of which contain a French translation of the first 64 sheets of the text. This translation is in the hand of Pétis de la Croix with a French title bearing the date 1692. At the beginning there is a page of rare expressions used in Persian, and on the back of the same sheet the passage about the "Ẓafarnāma" with a French explanation, all in the hand of Pétis, Incomplete: The Prolegomena are not included in this manuscript, script: Nasḫī, old signature: Quatremère 54, BSB provenance: Étienne Quatremère (1782-1857)
