Short photo of a manuscript, content: The "Dīwān" of Ḫāqān, i.e. Fatḥ-ʻAli Šâh of Persia (r. 1796-1834), Contents: This Dīwān contains 1) Qaṣīds; 2) Ġazelen (fol. 14b), which are arranged according to the alphabet of rhymes; 3) various poems (fol. 84b); 4) individual verses (fol. 87); 5) Quadrilines (fol. 94b); 6) Elegies (fol. 96b); Maṯnawīs (fol. 99b), among them a Sāqīname, and a closing word in prose, content: Each of these 7 sections is provided with a preface in prose, which is 11 pages long for the Qaṣīds and 3 pages long for the Ġazelen, but is only a few lines long for the other sections. The Taḫalluṣ recurring in these poems is Ḫāqān, under which poet name Fatḥ-ʻAli Šâh wrote. The name of the royal author is made illegible twice in the prefaces fol. 5b and 15b, but is inscribed in his dignity fol. 15b and on the spine label, script: Nastaʿlīq by a calligrapher's hand, equipment: written on thick, smooth oriental paper. At the beginning of the Qaṣīds and Ġazelen and their prefaces on folios 1b, 7, 14b and 16 there are arabesque decorations, Dated manuscript: completed during the author's lifetime, old signature: Quatremère 113, BSB provenance: Étienne Quatremère (1782-1857)
