Short copy of a manuscript, content: History of the Zand dynasty, in Persia up to the accession to the throne of the Qāǧāren dynasty, includes the history of the kings Karīm Ḫān Zand, died 1193 [h.q.] [1779] in Šīrāz (fol. 4b), Zakī Ḫān-e Zand (fol. 7b), Abu-'l-Fatḥ Ḫān (fol. 14), Ṣādiq Ḫān (fol. 16), ʿAlī Murād Ḫān (fol. 24b), Ǧaʿfar Ḫān (fol. 30b) and Loṭf-ʿAlī Ḫān (fol. 58b-134). The author names himself on Fol. 4 1.11 ʿAlī Riḍā from Šīrāz, Literature: Malcom used this work for the relevant period of the history of Persia and a comparison of the passages quoted or translated by him leaves no doubt about the identity of the two works. This is what the longer passage translated by Malcom says, Histoire de la Perse (Paris 1821 8) Tom. III p. 213 in this manuscript on fol. 6 recto; the note 2) p. 227 on fol. 7 1.6; note 2) p. 235 on fol. 19b 1.6; the note 1) p. 237 on fol. 21b 1.9 etc. Edward Scott Waring in his work 'A Tour to Sheeraz', London 1807 in 4 pp. 257-305 gives a 'History of the Empire of Persia from the death of Kureem Khan to the subversion of the Zund Dynasty', which is partly adapted from this work; P. 259 it says: 'The facts detailed in this history are drawn from an historical account, written by a native of Sheeraz, from the time of Kureem Khan to the captivity and death of Lootf Ulee Khan...', old signature: Quatremère 248, BSB provenance: Étienne Quatremère (1782-1857)
