Notes Short shot of a handwriting, writing: Simple, calligraphed Dîvânî, alternating with a more energetic, larger Dîvânî style, which is intended to emphasize certain places in the text (Quran verses, etc.), BSB provenance: By Prof. Dr. Menzel, Kiel, through the mediation of Prof. Dr. Scheel, Mainz, the Bavarian State Library. Gifted, equipment: Blue van with niche on rectangle with floral decoration in white and gold, slightly blurred. Sidebars, headings, keywords and points red. - Custodians. - Fairly heavy, red ink-flecked, ivory paper with waterlines. The edge of the binding has become brittle due to exposure to moisture and has been glued in several places, individual pages. a. A. and E. are loose or loose. Some foxing in places. The text is blurred in some places, cover: oriental cardboard cover with dark red, damaged leather spine, contents: collection of 93 letter samples and letter beginnings. - These are samples for letters of congratulations/tehniye, letters of condolence/taziye-nâme, şefkat-nâme, requests/arz, taleb, istidʿa, letters of complaint/şikâyet-nâme, petitions/iltimâs, letters of thanks and response, confirmations of receipt of letters and sample letters of private, personal content. Towards the end of the manuscript, Turkish interlinear glosses on the text, mostly explanations of words. - Sheets 73b–80a: Sample of a Fermân beginning in two different Dîvânî styles. The text was lost in places due to the editing. It was written by Menzel on loosely attached sheets. transcribed, as well as the beginning and the colophon of the ms. (in pencil)
