Short recording of a manuscript, content: Stories of Maulānā Muḥammad ʿAufī, complete in 4 parts. Each part contains 25 chapters, and each chapter contains several stories. These are in the first part from the field of history, in the second and third from morality (virtues and vices) and in the fourth from that of cosmography and jokes. According to the preface, the work was written under Sulṭān Altamiš, king of Dihlī (d. 633 [h.q.] [1236]), who marched against Nāṣir-ad-Dīn Qubāǧa and conquered the Bhakkar fortress in the year 625 [h.q.] [1227 or 1228]. After the prefaces to the individual parts, the Wazir Abu-'l-Muḥamīd (Ab-'l-Mafāḫir) ordered Muḥammad Ibn-Abī al-Ǧunaidī to write it. Parts 2-4 begin on fol. 252b, 332b and 410b.
