Short recording of a manuscript, content: Commentary on Sura I [al-Fātiḥa] and from Sura 67 (al-Mulk) to the end of the Koran, written by Yaʿqūb Ibn-ʿUṯmān Ibn-Maḥmūd Ibn-Muḥammad al-Ġaznawī. Sura 2 to 66 are not missing, but according to the preface they were deliberately not commented on. - The commentary is taken from that of al-Baidāwī, from the Kaššāf ʿan ḥaqāʾiqi 't-tanzīl of Zamaḫšarī, the work of al-Kawāšī and others. - The preceding short preface in Arabic. - Text of the Koran written in red, content: At the beginning 2 pages, story of a Ḥaǧǧī who answers all questions only with passages from the Koran and in this way tells his life circumstances, excerpt from the work Nafaḥāt and the end of the story from the work Rašaḥāt, content: At the end a page of Ḥikāyat, i.e. a story by Šaiḫ Ḥātim Aṣṣam and his wife. - On the margin of the previous page (fol. 115b) is the continuation of this story. This inscription is dated 1235 [h.q.] [1819 or 1820]. - On the same page, the owner of the manuscript is ʿAlī-Šīr Ibn-Muḥammed Ṣāliḥ, script: Nasḫī, old signature: Quatremère 150, BSB provenance: Étienne Quatremère (1872-1857)
