Notes Short shot of a manuscript, writing: Very nice Neshî in Rikâ style, initially a slightly wider steel nib, then thin nib. By es-Seyyid Mustafa Reşîd b. Ahmed, imperial official. Rat/ʿan hocagan-i divân-i hümâyûn and first secretary to the Minister of the Interior, died in 1245/beg. July 3, 1829, BSB provenance: G. Bergsträsser, May 22, 1916., Equipment: BI. 1b and 165b: Niche-shaped unvane in gold ink with floral decoration and blue-gold decorative bars: 1b–2a and 165b–166a: Black-gold edge strips, otherwise narrow, double, blue edge strips. The Quranic verses a. A. are vocalized and overlined in red, the Arabic text of the original appears in red, the entries a. A. often missing. - Fairly thin, flaky, somewhat stained brown paper, binding: heavily worn leather binding with flap, loose, heavily damaged, wide and narrow golden borders and floral decoration painted with gold ink. Edges and corners heavily bumped, the spine of the book is missing and is primitively pasted over with white dotted red linen, contents: extensive commentary and translation of the Dalāʿil al-ḫairāt of Ǧazūlī, contents: 1a: owner's seal of es-Seyyid Mehmed Tevfîk v. J. 1282/beg. May 27, 1865 and hs. Entry of the same from the 20th Cem. I. 1283/30. Sept. 1866. G. Bergsträsser, May 22, 1916
