Notes Short shot of a manuscript, cover: red-brown leather strap with flap and gold pressing. Lid framed by a gold strip surrounded by two lines. As a central ornament, a gold-contoured mandorla filled with flowers. On the flap there is an analogous, circular ornament. The almond ends in two golden lines that converge at the top and bottom, with a short golden line in front of them. Mirror on the front and back covers as well as the flap covered with marbled paper. The flap is protected from breaking off by fabric straps glued inside and outside. Binding is also a bit brittle (spine), features: white, solid, smooth, slightly shiny paper. The edges of the first sheets are slightly charred, but the paper is in good overall condition. Custodes, writing: Writing by at least three hands: medium-sized, beautiful, carefully written, fully dotted, occasionally also vocalized Nasḫī, from sheets 153a-172b steeper and more rounded style with more extended arches of the letters in the final position, from sheets 183a-252 the Nasḫ smaller and more fluid, with a tendency towards Ruqʿa, BSB provenance: Catalog de mss. ancient Arabs, Persians and Turks provenant of the Bible. de l'Ex-Sultan Abdul-Hamid, en vente à la librairie H.
