Notes Manuscript codex. Foliation: Contemporary Hindu-Arabic foliation in ink, upper center recto, catchwords every verso, lower left. Layout: 15 long lines. Script: Written in rapid nastaʻliq in black ink; pointed. Decoration: Several tables (f. 3r, 7r, 37r, 37v, 42r-43r, 44v-47r, 50v, 60r, 67r, 70v) and diagrams (f. 25r, 25v, 55r, 76v-77r, 79r). Shelfmark: MS Or 41. Origin: Copy dated what appears to be 1011 AH (f. 86v), though that date might also be read as 1111 AH, which would fit better with this author, who was likely active in the second half of the 17th century (Browne, A supplementary hand-list of Muhammadan MSS in Cambridge (1922): p123-124). Likely copied in India. Also available as a digital facsimile. Gift of David Eugene Smith, 1931-1934. Half binding of red leather with marbled paper sides (red, blue, black, white).
