Notes After the basmalah; Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rashid al-Sajawandi said after he said the blessing, “Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, and praise be to those who are thankful.” The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “Learn the obligatory duties and teach them to people, for they are half of knowledge.” So the obligatory is the plural of obligatory - from its owner what he inherited from him. The mother of each of them has twenty, his daughter has sixty, and his master has ten, and God knows best.
