Notes Praise be to God, and enough of the many questions about the well-known hadith on the tongues of the people that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, does not remain in the grave for a thousand years, and I answer that it is false and has no basis. Then a man from the notables, whom I do not name, came to me this year in the month of Rabi’, which was the year eight hundred and seventy-eight, and he had a paper with him.
