Praise be to God, who made the sun a light and the moon a light. In our time, the teaching of the true sciences and the teachings of learning, especially mathematics among them, has become obsolete. This intermediate lunar year is less than the true solar year by ten days, twenty hours, and a half hour by approximation. It is more correct that a day with ten days and twenty-one hours by approximation has been completed.
