Notes
The first of them is: Praise be to God who purified the tongues of his guardians from idle talk, backbiting, and slander, and purified their souls from lowly morals and reprehensible things... I would like to put in this message a number of words about backbiting and the prohibitions contained therein in the Qur’an and Sunnah... and I arranged them into an introduction, chapters, and a conclusion - the last of which is: the twelfth hadith with its chain of transmission, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of Muhammad bin Yahya... Honor your companions and honor them, and do not frown upon one another, nor quarrel with one another. Beware of envy and miserliness, and be sincere servants of God
