Notes The letter of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may God be pleased with him, to Ali ibn Abi Talib, may God honor his face, and Ali’s answer to him and his pledge of allegiance to him. The narrator said: Abu Hayyan ibn Muhammad al-Tawhidi told us, he said: “We spent the night at the judge Abu Hamid Ahmad ibn Bishr al-Marwadhi in Baghdad.” - Abu Ubaidah said, then Omar left and returned. This is the most difficult thing that we went through after parting with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.
