Al-Kashf wa'l-Bayan fi Taqrir al'Iyan, a work on alchemy, being 'the Revelation and Demonstration, or a statement of Personal Observation, the science of the process of transmuting', probably written in Egypt or Syria in the 17th or 18th century, in naskhi, Arabic. The latest author cited in the text is Shudhuri who died in 593/1197, so the original may date from the 12th century. Includes verses of poetry about alchemy. It is a collection of subjects gathered from a number of essays and books. Notes at the back of the beginning folio relating to alchemy. The main text is preceded and followed by notes in different hands. The hand in the closing paragraph of the preceding notes looks similar to the one in the final note. Many letters in these notes lack diacritical marks. Other jottings at the back of the beginning folio seem to have been added by different individuals. Incipit: And love your soul seriously by playing and listening to it with discovery and expression in the statement of the eyes and Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala is the successful for the friend and the guide to the path of guidance said the monk to Khalid Ayeha The prince does not leave the stone outside and does not enter into it.
