In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, who made the sun a light and the moon a light, and spread shade and heat upon the expanse of the plain. He raised a green land with constellations and lamps, and lowered the dust with meadows and glades, and extended a captive sea. He created seven heavens and of the earth the like of them in six days and arranged the matter, descending between them in order and order, as it was written in the Book. And blessings be upon the one who is near, so it leads to his Lord, the Most High, and he was just around the corner. Muhammad, who became supported by terror and by youth, was victorious. And upon his pious family and companions are the stars of guidance as long as the fish is spearing, the lion is slaughtering, the eagle is flying, the Levantine is mysterious, and the Yemeni is crossing, and after... The statement of those who say that the solar year is three hundred and sixty-five days, a quarter of a day, ten days, one and [twenty] hours, and three-fifths of a fifth of an hour, according to the opinion of Ptolemy, and ten days and twenty-one hours, minus one minute and three-fifths of a minute from the minutes of hours, according to what Al-Battani said, and it is not hidden from those who have training in arithmetic, and he is the quickest of calculators.
