Notes
Recto: part of a ketubba for an unnamed bride and Yešuʿa b. Beraḵot. Dated Sunday 11th (month and year not preserved), in Fusṭāṭ. The heading on the document refers to Samuel ha-Nagid (presumably Samuel b. Ḥananya, active 1140-1159 CE). Witnessed by Judah b. Solomon the scribe. Verso: court record in Judaeo-Arabic detailing the dowry settlement, and a stipulation stating that she has no right to live in the house unless he agrees. Witnessed by Saʿadya b. Nathan, Judah b. Solomon the scribe, and Mevoraḵ b. Nathan. Both documents are in the hand of Nathan b. Samuel. Recto can be to dated to ca. 1140 CE and verso to ca. 1150 CE.
