Notes	The first (in Robinson's catalogue) of four folios from this ms. (see pp. 142, 197-8), reproduced in b/w on p. 275.
Süsleme	Rustam sleeps, Awlad stands tied to a treeScene Title:Rustam's fifth labour: he lassoes AuladFolio number: 001vNotes: Reproduced in b/w in Robinson, p. 275 (no. 224), who suggests it is from the same ms. as nos. 521-3 (q.v. 1971-107/254-6). But NB he calls that a production of Mughal style of mid-17th c. and this one Isfahan style.Note the very unusual text layout: it starts within the rectangular written area above the painting, then goes to the margin above the painting, then to written area below the painting and finally to the margin below the painting. The break-line correctly leads the artist to depict Rustam asleep: a most unusual image in this context, right at the end of the fifth trial.
