Power of attorney, drawn up on the rabbinical court of al-Mahdiyya, in which the Karaite Abū Saʿd Isḥaq b. Ḵalaf b. ʿAllūn gives to Ḥassūn b. Abī l-Faraj Mahdawī the right to act on his behalf and recover the household items Abū Saʿd left in the house of Sittūna bat Sulaymān b. Hiba, known as Sirāj Ummihi, wife of Mūsā b. Ḵalaf. Dated Monday 1st Av (4)833 (= 8 July 1073 CE), and signed by Mevoraḵ ha-Parnas b. Abraham, ʿAyyaš the scribe b. Judah, and Moses b. David. The validation of the document is then signed by Judah b. Saʿadya, Moses ha-Levi b. Šela, and Joseph b. Faraḥ.
