Recto: Mentions the coast (الساحل). The sender asks the addressee to write to him. Verso: Text opens after basmala: ... انعم الله مساك واطال الله بقاك واعزك واكرمك. Mentions a certain Isma‘īl. Closes with the formula: فاعلم ذلك اكرمك الله وابقاك وحفظك واتم نعمه عليك وعندك.
