Notes
Recto: medical recipe, opening with the basmala and mentioning among its ingredients: purslane seeds, basil seeds, psyllium seeds, powdered chalk, ribes syrup, berberis, rose-syrup and rose-water. The prescription advises taking the preparation together with a dish of sour grapes, purslane stalks, quince seeds, roasted almonds, mastic, and ginger. Verso: beginning of a private letter, mentioning the amīr ʿAfīf al-Dawla.
