The Basmala, the best thing that was embroidered in the preamble of the pages... Praise be to Him who illuminated with His name the lamp of the knowledgeable... And it was translated into the gardens of gardens and the theaters of the heavens in the translation of one of the moderns whose poetry was gentle and refined... - ... in the necks of calamities and anguish. Its author said... Muhammad Amin bin Khairallah Al-Khatib Al-Omari. I finished drafting it on the day of Sunday, the ninth of the blessed Sha’ban, in the months of the year one hundred and seventy-four, and the beginning of it was from the beginning of Jumada al-Akhir of that year, with obstacles that occurred to us during that time... Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, it was completed. It was edited in the month of Jumada al-Awwal in the year 1262. The history of Tharish was completed in a book.
