Chapter Seven: Separation and Connection Connection is the conjunction of some sentences with others, and separation is its abandonment, that is, the abandonment of the conjunction of some of them with each other, so between them they correspond to non-existence and the faculty, and for this reason the connection was introduced, because non-existence is known only by its properties... - The above mentioned principle in the Three Arts and the details of that are among the things that the notebooks do not fully cover, but it is not known about their existence except for the knowledge of the unseen...
