Ka'b Al-Akhbar, may God be pleased with him, said: When God Almighty wanted to converse with His servant and prophet Moses... He revealed to his Lord that I want to converse with you, so fast for forty days and purify your heart, so he fasted as God commanded him and chose forty men from his people. So God revealed to the mountains, “Indeed, I am speaking to a prophet from among my prophets,” and the mountains grew tall and rose... —And forgive them of their previous sins, O Moses, love Muhammad and his nation as you love yourself, O Moses, Muhammad is light and a blessing from those who believe. Through him and his sincerity and blessings be upon him... And I am the Forgiving, the Merciful...
