Sample Text
Basmalah, praise be to God who sent our master Muhammad to the Arabs and non-Arabs so that they may illuminate him in the darkness... As for what follows, he says... Wali Allah ibn Abd al-Rahim... This is a treatise that I called “Aqd al-Jayyid” regarding the rulings on ijtihad and taqlid. I was prompted to edit it by asking some of our companions about issues... - What the evidence requires is that he is not obligated, but rather he asks a fatwa from whomever he wishes and from whomever agrees, but without taking concessions, and this is the last thing we wanted to include in this letter. Praise be to God first and last... This has been copied. The blessed message called “My Good Contract” from the upper school in the town of Calcutta, from the copy copied in high-side font... At the beginning of the month Muharram Al-Haram in the year 1283 AH... I am the guilty slave Muhammad Saeed Al-Fatimi by lineage and Al-Jisari by birth.
