Basmalah, may God’s blessings and peace be upon our Master Muhammad and his family, praise be to God, glory be to His name... and prayers be upon Muhammad, the Chosen One... And after: God’s support from our Lord has called me to serve as an introduction to his introduction to a book written in his name and drawn by him, so I wrote this book... and translated it with the coldness of the livers in the numbers... — ...and the connection between the doctor and the teacher, Al-Warraq and Al-Baziar. The last book, Burd al-Akbad fi al-Adār, by Imam al-Tha’alabi, may God Almighty have mercy on him. Praise be to God alone, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family and companions.
