In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, I praise Him in obedience to His command, there are countless thanks for His gratitude, and may blessings be upon His Beloved, His Companion, His Messenger, His Prophet, His family, His Companions, His followers, and His party. After it was narrated on the authority of the composer of the poem, known as Al-Baraa, that he said: I was struck with a paralytic palsy that nullified half of me, so I thought of writing a poem in praise of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to recover with it..... I called it Al-Zubdah in Explanation of Burdah... — ...and there is a warning from his Prophet on... Praying for him brings about the beauty and perfection of the person prayed to and necessitates the happiness of his condition and good fortune. May God’s blessings and peace be upon him, his family, and all his brothers among the prophets and messengers. Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.
