The sheikh, the learned Imam, the scholar, the only one of his time and the unique one of his time, Muhammad Abu al-Mahasin Badr al-Din Ibn Muhammad Ibn Ahmad al-Shafi’i, who resided at the Al-Azhar Mosque, the descendant of the late pious and ascetic Sheikh Jamal al-Din al-Maridini, said: May God cover him with His mercy and dwell him in His vast Paradise with His grace and generosity. Amen, Lord of the Worlds. Praise be to God, by whose grace good deeds are accomplished and by whose mercy blessings descend... To God, Lord of the Worlds, is the most complete and perfect of praise in every situation, and may God’s blessings be upon the most honorable of creation, the best of creation, the most perfect of creation, the best of creation, the most generous of creation, the beloved of creation, and the intercessor of creation, our master Muhammad, who brought the clear truth...
